This class is geared towards the 6th graders to get them on their feet with beginning acting opportunities. The students WILL NOT be performing for the school. However, they WILL be exploring a variety of theatrical methods including masks, puppetry, video, and improvisations. There is a great deal of interactive work and because team work is so essential in theater, students will work with everyone in the class by the semesters end. This is a really fun class with lots of activity! Students need to be dressed for those occasions where we get messy making props, masks, or costumes. It’s always a good idea to dress comfortably because we also do a lot of movin’ and a shakin’! There is a little something for everyone in Creative Dramatics, a wide range of activities, ever changing partners, we even do a research project – well, let’s just say… it will rock your child’s school day!
